DESCRIPTION:
 
In times such as these we all need peace.  Long before the birth of Jesus, the prophet Isaiah spoke of Him as the Prince of Peace.  God longed to transform our chaotic and hateful world into a world filled with His peace and love.  The new testament reveals that our’s is a God of peace and order.  Simply look at the fruit of the Spirit… love, joy, peace, patience… these are the gifts of the Holy Spirit working in our lives which specifically describe His nature. When we accept Jesus in our heart, so also do we accept these gifts.  When God fills our heart, His attributes become apparent in our lives.  We are NEW persons in Christ Jesus.  Our world can be chaotic and fear driven, especially since 2020, but the bible urges us 365 times to “fear not”.   One for each day of the calendar year.  Fear is the enemy of God and a tool of evil.  Peace is the opposite of fear, and thus the bible encourages us to be at peace, just as Jesus is in this sunset painting by the sea - He sits like a Good Shepherd with the precious lamb gazing thoughtfully at the splendor of His creations.  In times of trouble, embrace the peace you will find with Him.
