The scorching heat of disappointment- was the "new normal" for my worn and weary heart
The smile I was dressed in - cleverly hid the broken parts
Drawing from the well - I prayed, "dry bones don't quit me now"
I thirsted for truth to quench my spirit - not knowing where or how.
Many times my heart was broken - but open stayed the door

Could anyone really love me?
